Tim is a social science researcher, who has been based at the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research, University of Manchester since 2016. At Tyndall he has specialised in research into the financing and business models of community and local energy in the UK, working on projects for the UK Energy Research Centre, Power to Change, and the EnergyREV consortium.

 

He has previously conducted research into alternative finance, community land ownership, and a range of social and economic development issues in the UK and overseas. He has worked at the University of Leeds, Leeds Beckett University, the University of the Highlands and Islands, and the Overseas Development Institute.
